TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our law office will do everything in its power to achieve the result you desire, yet cannot offer any guarantees regarding the outcome of its work. Pursuant to Civil law, a lawyer may never provide any guarantee as to the result of his efforts, but he may provide a guarantee regarding the effort that will be invested. This means that we will use all the resources available to us in order to obtain the desired results.

As you would expect, our organisation is constantly striving to provide optimum assistance and the most accurate advice in accordance with current legislation, legal precedents and legal doctrine. It may not, however, be held responsible for wrongful or fraudulent intentions on the part of the client, which would constitute improper use of legal assistance.

In the event of malpractice, any liability on the part of our firm and the associates will be limited for each claim to the amount paid by the corporate liability insurer for the case in question. Our organisation is insured for an amount of euro 15.250.000,00.

Unless agreed otherwise, our services will be remunerated according to the following fixed hourly fees:

- trainee lawyer: euro 75 - 100/hour
- staff lawyer : euro 100 - 160/hour
- associate lawyer: euro 160 - 200/hour
- travelling expenses : euro 0,5/km

In general, our office will send a monthly fee statement along with the details of the services provided and a breakdown of the costs.

In the context of the continued provision of quality services and our associated professional liability, the organisation will determine which lawyer(s) is (are) best suited to handle your case so that broadly speaking, the fee due will be an average of the above-mentioned fees.

For new clients, we always request a retaining fee, the amount of which depends on the services to be provided. All invoices for fees, including retaining fees, are sent monthly and are payable within eight days of receipt. In the best interest of the case, the firm requests that this payment deadline be strictly observed. In the event of late payment, further services will only be provided on a retainer basis.

In the case of default lasting more than one month, we reserve the right to suspend our services until full payment of our fees has been received.

In order to avoid the provision of unnecessary or redundant work, we recommend that you immediately inform us of all facts and provide us with any relevant documents necessary to process the case. For the same reasons and in accordance with our professional ethics, we prefer to meet as often as necessary on our company premises.
